Mundaring
We drove into the hills district this morning, we stopped at a little country town Kalamunda for walk around before lunch, we then drove on to Mundaring where we spent a very pleasant day.
The time is right for plenty of burning off of old leaf litter by the forrest dept. we saw a few controlled burns around, the burns will pay off when Summer returns.
With restrictions easing due to 0 new cases in the last 4 days of the virus and the few patients in the hospitals who are still recovering its surely a good sign.
Regions are still closed, fortunately for us though there are still a few country areas we can still travel too, Mundaring is around an hours drive away from the coast.
On another note, Perth have 5 mercy Qantas flights arriving today with a few hundred passengers aboard each plane are flying in from different parts of Europe, these people have been stranded since the shut down of international flights some time ago, i can imagine some very relieved people glad to be on home soil tonight, they will spend the next two weeks in quarantine some in hotels, around 200 will be Quarantined on Rottnest Island just off our coast, we have been told to be prepared for a spike in new cases, but fingers crossed this is just a precaution.
Hope to hear soon of other places around the world to follow suit in the not too distant future.
Term two starts here tomorrow for all schools after the Easter break, but with few students attending before Easter as most were doing at home or on-line studies, it will be interesting if the teachers will have full classes?
Koen who is in year12 returns tomorrow but his Brother Jacob who is in year 9 will remain at home, their school is only taking the older students, this makes parents wary if it's too soon? time will tell.
