Raoulia australis
This New Zealand mat plant, Raoulia australis, common in the wild in areas where it has little competition, is being invaded by another native, a prostrate Pimelia, in our garden. Scab weed, as it is sometimes known, grows well with a little more moisture than it finds in its native habitat, but we need to protect it by curbing the invading plants that try to take over.
