Perseverance
What a wet horrible day in London. My daughter informed me it was a scorcher in Ireland and Im sure our two grandchildren would be having ice creams.
Todays Blip came as a result of feedback yesterday where you could see the joins. So I went hunting for an image that looked roughly the same at both edges. The shot was taken from SE London looking towards the City of London. The light at the time was unusual which caught my eye. It was taken mid November.
The Thumbnail is of the British Telecom Tower which suffered bomb damage as long ago as October 1971.
Having got the image it was time to play with the Polar Co-ordinates in PS. Hopefully you cannot see the join and more importantly enjoy the image.
Virus numbers being reported show a decline with my own area of Southwark moving down from 4th highest Local Authority at the outset to 17th as of yesterday.
Looking at the Blog Memories of the 1957 Flu by Hugh Pennington he was struck down by a pandemic virus that had evolved from China. By the time he fell ill the virus had already killed 20,000 people in the UK. It was spread by people on ships, aircraft and the Trans Siberian Railway.
