Junk Coins
Day one of week six of the lockdown. Seven more weeks of shielding, although I don't think that will be the end of it.
So there should be plenty of time to sort out the loft, sort out cupboards, and all the rest. Although it is surprising how busy we are.
We have hundreds of old coins, leftovers of holidays abroad, and changes in coinage here in the UK. And quite a few notes. It will all have had a value once, not much now I assume.
This is a small selection, part of what is housed in a tucked away Hornsea pottery container. A relic itself. I must have been to the pottery for the first time in the mid to late 70's, on bus trips from Hull to Hornsea Mere. A good place for birdwatching. The pottery closed in the year 2000. I still like the designs.
