Hardy Poppy
I was gazing mournfully out of one of our bedroom windows this dull, wet morning when I noticed this poppy gamely withstanding the rain and the wind of passing vehicles.
I thought that it would make a good mono shot, gritty stuff but with selective colour. The photo was the work of a moment, but the selective colour bit, with Affinity Photo, took an hour while I faffed around with selection, masks, inverting selections etc . . . If only I could be certain that I could do it again in a few days if I don't practise a lot meanwhile.
But it passes the time . . .
