Head Cook

Finished painting the window frames this morning - thankfully before the rain arrived - and this afternoon decided to delve into more boxes of old photographs.
My Mum was Head Cook at the hospital where we lived and this photograph - taken by me in the mid-1950's - shows what her uniform was like.  
In the background you can see the big steamers (on the left) and soup boilers on the right.
