Solomon's Seal

Today's the day ……………………… for a downpour

Accustomed as we have become, to all this sunny weather recently, it seemed very strange today to wake up to heavy rain.  And, although the garden desperately needed it, I think I prefer the sunshine and blue skies.

It gave lots of opportunities for pictures of raindrops on leaves - and there's none better than these Solomon's Seal because you get those cute little dangling, green-tipped, white bells thrown in for good measure.  They always make me think of my late Father-in-law because he gave us a big pot of them that he had dug up from his garden.

They do very well here, liking as they do, moist wooded areas in the shade.  And it certainly was very 'moist' here today ……………………….
