Wet & Dry

Another decent nights sleep, woke just after 7.....but dozed until 8ish, when a vehicle close by, delivering a skip disturbed my peace.

A grey old start to the day, bit breezy too. After breakfast it started to rain so its been indoor chores today. Hub finished off the ironing upstairs whilst I emptied out all the kitchen cupbards, washed insides and out, them refilled them.

Coffee break late morning, before back into the kitchen. I made an apricot and sultana crumble.....with regular crumble mix, with added oats & ground almonds on top.

Cleared away lots of rubbish, emptied some shoe boxes from my wardobe too, as tomorrow the blue paper bin is due to be emptied, so may as well fill it up!

Lunch was ham & picallil sandwich for hub, left over cold salmon & wild rice for me. Youngest, Neil, rang for a catch up.....all ok at their end. His wife has cut his hair, with the clippers, not too short, but he now has more hair on his chin than his head ;-) He said its great that he doesnt have to worry about any sticky up bits ;-)))

I made a Beef Hotpot this afternoon for dinner tonight which was really tasty, just a small portion as there was a treat for pudd ;-) Not had a proper old fadhioned dessert for absolutely ages.......omg, it was soooo good!

Whilst the hotpot was in the oven, we went out for a walk as the rain had finally stopped.
The sun came out, blue sky appeared and todays blip is the view along our top road. Only 7k steps today......time I went for another run, maybe tomorrow, weather permitting!

I have tagged this for the wide wednesday theme being trees....bit of a fluke, as I didnt know beforehand ;-) Thanks to whoever is hosting this challenge at the moment.

Another night stuck in front of the tv no doubt :-/
