Still open. Just.
The train station; opened in 1842 when the Edinburgh to Glasgow railway opened. Barely a train at present because of the coronavirus restrictions. Shame too, it’s been part of the EGIP project, Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme funded by Transport Scotland and not long back in action. Sadly also in the history of rail fatal accidents - more than a dozen folks perished just west of the station in a derailment in the summer of 1984. I heard it from my (then) garden. There’s a published report.
Wet evening. Family FaceTime. And participation in a Quiz organised by a friend working offshore. It’s a funny world.
