Lemon Yellow

After the rain, with everything still wet, colours take on a new look, richer and more vibrant. Then the sun came out and lit up the landscape. I kept to the road to avoid muddy shoes, but with the zoom at full extent, I could still pick out smaller scenes.

Using the shadow of the willow to frame the view, newly invigorated leaves became luminous in the evening sunshine.

It was so quiet and still and very enjoyable listening to the birdsong. A pair of ducks came cruising by and a heron landed to fish for its supper.
