Captain Tom’s 100th Birthday

A dull dry day

A real joy to watch Captain Tom celebrating his 100th Birthday on BBC Breakfast this morning. A truly remarkable man who has inspired people to raise 30 million pounds
for NHS Charities.

He is a very humble man who took great delight in everything which has happened in the past month. One of his highlights today was the RAF fly-pass of a Spitfire and a Hurricane. He said, ‘I am one of very few people who have seen those planes flying in anger and now in peace’. Remarkable.

I made a card today, but he has already received 140,000 cards, so I will just keep this one.
