I went for a wander today - I needed to get out for some fresh air and exercise as I hadn't been out for a day or two. The weather was a bit unpromising - mainly dull and a bit gusty. I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few birds around. The highlight for me was a Garden Warbler - a very nondescript little bird but with a lovely song, which gave it away. See extras. When I came to look at my photos when I got hope, this Linnet looking down at me from the top of a dead tree made me smile.
