A different kind eve for Labour day...

Really peculiar feelings today!
Normally this is a time to enjoy spring and party time for students, joy and relaxed time, a lot of people around. Visiting grandparents and one of the traditions is to walk outdoors, especially tomorrow at the Labour day.

After a late brunch we left to the country and visited grandparents, keeping social distance of course, picked up the freshly baked donuts from grandma and brought them some groceries.

A lot of cars in the traffic, I noticed. This is of course a normal workday here.

Late in the afternoon me made a drive to the city center. In the pic there is one of the market squares, Laukontori. Normally there is a lot of people and the nearby square Keskustori is full loaded of people already after work. Now we saw only this one salesman waiting for a buyer for his balloons.

Our daughter left to spend the Labour day eve with her brother - that is they left me alone with my husband, their dad!? What??? Ok, no problem, actually hubby had some webinars in the evening. And we also took part to one conference meeting, some kind of remote Labour day eve, with some of our workmates.

No student jokes, or games for the party animals. i just wonder, where all the people are...
A very different kind of party time!

Ps. Corona situation in Finland today is that there is...
4995 officially tested contaminations
Over 2000 of them already recovered
139 in hospital, plus 48 in ICU
211 death cases

A lot discussions about the government's decision of opening the schools after two weeks - for only two weeks time before summer holiday. Most of the people, atleast that I know, would have kept schools closed until summer holiday, until next autumn...
