Mexican Bird of Paradise

I keep cutting these bushes back and they seem to thrive no matter what I do to them. I think they are beautiful, but they pop up in unexpected places.

I am grateful for a cooler, cloudy day. The heat and sun came on too quickly for my liking. I wouldn't mind easing into a season.
