Yesterday I felt the reality of the pandemic more than ever before. Yesterday I wrote about my good friend’s bereavement. Later in the day I learned (through my role as Membership Secretary of the local Arts Society) of the deaths of 6 of our members. 

I think it’s just been unreal, a novelty, in some ways rather fun - until now. I’m lucky to have a garden, lovely surroundings, good friends and family, in touch in various ways.

Yesterday made me think hard.

Thank you, my friends, who helped me so much. 

Today, I set off on my early morning walk. Beautiful sun, wonderful skies, magical woodland. Pepe’s mum waved to me as she drove past. I scrambled through the hedge and was alone with birdsong.
