1 de mayo, el Día del Trabajador.
Lockdown day 48.
A bank holiday, though like weekends indistinguishable from any other day.
Tomorrow is a big day as Spain enters phase zero of relaxing lockdown measures. It still won't be as relaxed as the UK's so-called "lockdown" (barely a lockdown at all as I see it), but at least we will be able to walk outside, alone or with another member of the household, for 1 hour within 1km of the house at certain times, i.e. 6-10am and 8-11pm. Also cyclists may go out at these times within the municipality, all while observing social distancing of course and preferably wearing masks.
I'm glad they're taking this slowly, and reviewing the plague behaviour before moving to the next phase in 2 weeks. At the first sign of trouble it will revert to full lockdown again.
Image is of native foliage in some wasteland near the house.
