The Notorious Byrd Brothers, 1968

This is my favourite Byrds album, I have been listening to it as well as reading about it of late. It came out well after the group's peak with Mr Tambourine Man, when they were in commercial oblivion. There were four Byrds when recording commenced, and only two by the end. Most notably, David Crosby, as in Crosby Stills and Nash was fired, but not before leaving his mark on this record. Often the best music seems to come out of turmoil.
