Bad Hair Year

We have ordered some hair dressing scissors,  which arrived this week.

I asked J this evening if she wanted me to try them on her hair, or if she wanted to do it herself. The answer was unequivocal. She would do it herself.

In the greater scheme of things, with so much disruption to everyone’s lives, hair cutting and styling seems a trivial matter. But it’s going to be interesting to see what hairstyles look like by the end of the year.

This allium flower is emerging. We bought the plant seven weeks ago from the Arley Hall nursery, which closed a week after our purchase. A shame such a fantastic place is out of bounds.
