From Grand Old Viking Centuries

It really had to be an Up Helly Aa blip today. The link is for those of you who don't know, who want to - there is a live stream of the event on here. When I was young, it was the social high point of the whole year. Now I am old, it still stirs a certain something in the blood. It has been a lovely, still day today, but now, an hour from the torchlight procession, the wind and rain are blowing up a storm. Literally.

It's been one of those days that nothing I tried went right, including leaving my proper camera in the office at lunchtime when I went to get my blip. Sigh.
