kings of the Mountain

A non stop day and night, it's late now and I'm knackered, the highlight of the day was picking up two very excited boys from school, my son Luke and his best friend Harvey. For two days the talk was of climbing the Sugarloaf Mountain near our home.I had never climbed up this particular side of it before and was slightly apprehensive that we would make it to the top, it is quite a climb, a quarter of the way up and there was rumblings of sore feet. But we carried on and as the top began to get closer, the boys, they are both eight, became more determined. When we did eventually make it to the summit(Ok, I know it's not Everest, what the hell, I'm a proud Dad) they were so incredibly proud of themselves that they danced and shouted their heads off. It was a great moment, one I don't think they will forget, we had a picnic of chocolate cake and fizzy lemon. Some blip days are personal and universal at the same time, other blip days are just personal, I think this is one of those days, I'm sharing it with you all anyway. Take care, sweet dreams and may all of you climb your own mountains, whatever they are.
