Just another day

I slept ok again.......woke early, then dozed, the window cleaners ladders woke us up properly, wiht a bit of a start, fortunately the blinds were all down lol ;-)

We decided on our walk this morning as the forecast for later was heavy showers. We collected hubs newspaper and a fresh loaf.....a very orderly queue all 2 mtres apart, only one person in the shop at a time. On our walk back we passed a shop that was obviously not well organised, neither by the owner or its customers, at least 5 men in the queue, all stood within a metre of each other :-( On the walk home we encountered a couple walking their dog, the man sneezed violently, no attempt to cover his mouth, we were about 5 metres behind them, so promptly crossed over the road, as he did it again, I really had to stop myself from saying something !!! All his wife said was "bless you" .....thats not what I was thinking!!!!!!!!!

Once back home we had a coffee and sat and read a while. Hubs head is still not good......we didnt do a lot today really. Lunch was a sandwich for,him and a mushroom & pepper omlette for me. We had some sunny spells this afternoon so a quick walk around the garden for my blip resulted in this beautifully bright iris.

This afternoon I made a batch of tomato sauce for with pasta and prepared a pile of vegetables to throw into a chicken stir fry for dinner this evening.

At 7pm we joined our neighbours via Zoom for whats become a weekly occurence, their Golf Clubs quiz night. We were shocking.......the wuiz was very male orientated and heavily biased towards football, but not,things,you would necessarily know, really a question of guessing & potluck.......we are not sore losers btw lol ;-)'

We had dinner at 8.30 whilst watching Monty Don, followed by Gogglebox and Graham Nortons Show......whilst sipping a large G&T :-)

Good to see Boris back.......still not looking 100%, maybe some announcements next week re easing, but not too soon hopefully.
