Out and About

Sauer's Mountain

This was the month I was supposed to be hiking the Cotswold Way in England and walking through woods carpeted with Blue Bells. That wasn't to be but I have to appreciate that today I walked through woods covered with Balsamroot, a Washington native plant.

My sons and I hiked about 6 miles and gained 2,000' in elevation, starting at the valley floor, through woods until we were rewarded with a view of the Cascade Mountains. It was a fabulous day of hiking and we were exhilarated.
