Good Friends

My best pal, Stephen, and his wife Janis, prepared a lamb and chicken tajine for my first night out back home. Wonderful!

Stephen and I started school together, aged four, and have been firm friends for 57 years. We formed our first band together, and all these years later have begun writing, playing and recording music again.

The Blackhouse was dedicated to him, and I borrowed certain facets of his personality for the character of Whistler in The Chessmen.
