Roe Deer - Chevreuil

Mrs SoL left the house to go shopping (self-authorisation paper, self-distancing etc.etc.).  I left at the same time (self-authorised dog walk paper in pocket).  As she drove off, I spotted this delightful creature at the side of the road.  She must have driven directly past her(?).  She said that she hadn’t seen anything.  Its amazing what you can miss in the countryside when you are concentrating on the road ahead.  This one eventually spotted Elvis and me 30 metres away, then trotted off calmly along the path we normally take and into the woods.  He was tracking her for a while, but not too enthusiastically. They are less scared of humans because the hunt has stopped for the year. She must be about a year old - no sign of mum or dad.  Maybe they will become less trusting later - I do hope so.
