SILLY SATURDAY
We hadn’t been out for a walk for a couple of days because of the rain - we are not wet weather walkers - so last night Mr. HCB said he thought we should go out early this morning. Well, 8.15 was quite early, but there were definitely more people about than when we have been out at 6.30 a.m.
I told Mr. HCB that I would like him to “model” for me this morning but he wasn’t that enamoured, so I asked him why he was grumpy and he said it was because he hadn’t had a drink - tea that is! He realised if we were walking - and there are no loos on the way we walk - then he would need to wait until we got back to have his pot of tea and that’s all he could put his grumpiness down to. I must admit, he’s not usually a grumpy sort, and he did smile eventually, as you will see from both shots in the collage.
We both definitely need to “Spring into Shape” because we have been eating all the wrong things since lockdown started - so now we are back on track and will be eating much more healthily. So enough of eating junk food - it's back to sensible and healthy eating for both of us.
There are only two pieces of mincemeat cake left and either Mr. HCB can eat them, or they can be frozen, but my guess is he will want to eat them - or of course, he and Mike, our next-door neighbour, could have them this afternoon when we have our cuppa under the carport.
Had a good Zoom meeting with several ladies who are in the Fast800 Facebook group I belong to and that has motivated me - especially since I got on the scales this morning and was rather upset to see the pounds creeping on.
I’m going to do some gardening this morning, so hopefully some bending and stretching will help - followed by a healthy lunch.
Stay safe and well everyone, and have a good weekend. I don’t know who said this, but it’s true:
“The pain of the process
is only temporary,
but the feeling of achievement
lasts forever.”
