Frankie
Lazy morning followed by lunch at Zoe's. I struggled with the 50mm lens to get both toby and frankie in focus as they were wriggling about. But I love this lens as it seems to take really beautiful clear photos. I tried a bigger aperture but that just seemed to focus on the picture in the background and not on them and then the moment had passed and they had moved on to something else before I could do any more fiddling. So sorry Tobes, I cropped you out of this pic as you were all blurred!
I get so frustrated not being able to capture that perfect photo. Sometimes I am so worried about missing a moment that I just snap away without thinking about changing the settings on my camera and it feels like until I do I am never going to get any better. That is why I am trying to blip more these dayside to take a bit more time.
We tried a new playgroup this afternoon. It was good and really quiet but just a room with toys in really so not sure if he would get bored week after week. It was nice for Tobes to have new stuff to play with though. I met another Mum there whose daughter also had a strawberry birth mark. She said that at about 12 months it started to break up and lose the redness and then gradually started to disappear. Even though I've been told that by the health visitor and GP it is good to hear it first hand from a mother.
Then Tobes kind of ruined the afternoon for me. He and Frankie were jumping on each other on the sofa. Next thing I know Frankie is screaming and has a bite mark on her side! He has never bitten anyone before. He got a proper telling off but I am just mortified and a little worried that now he is mixing with some older children at nursery and preschool that he is learning to play rough as hes also been rougher at home. He's promised me he will never ever do it again. But it still feels like a big fat failure on my part. I will just have to keep a close eye on it and not sure what I could have done differently.
