Mum, Im, and I went to Seven Islands Pond on Mitcham Common in the morning... I'd make excuses for the ridiculous number of photos I took (and posted on Flickr), but there were two huge broods of Canada goslings (the same set of 10 as last time, and a new set of 8), one adorable little singleton gosling, a moorhen with 4 moorhenlings, and a coot family with 7 cootlings... It was inevitable.
The most dramatic moment was when the two large gosling broods crossed paths (and mixed), and the parents lost their minds, with one attacking several of the littler goslings (they survived, although one was left limping), before they eventually separated and sorted out who belonged to whom...
