They didn't teach this in college

I never expected a day when one of the tools of a pastor would be a video recording studio. Here is mine.

Reaching our people with care and encouragement without being physically near has been an interesting challenge. Thankfully we now have better tools to do that with.

There will never be anything as good as a face to face but as people learn the technology there are some things we can do.

So I recorded a video for Communion tomorrow, and I do a short video for Daily Prayers. As simple as it is, the people seem to appreciate it. (At thefieldpastor.com)

Who knew that some of the skills I learned being a volunteer TV camera man would ever come in handy.
