First Crickets

A beautiful sunny day and quite warm. W. and I spent a chunk of time at one of the open big box home improvement stores, first waiting in line to get in (six feet apart and masked), and then finding a board for fixing one of the raised beds in our veggie garden. The store was fairly crowded, and the streets are full of traffic. I left the tomato plants out on the deck for a few hours to start getting them acclimated to the outdoors. 

We watched I.'s cello solo in the online strings, woodwinds and brass recital that the music school put together. D.'s recital is in a couple weeks. Walked the hill this evening and watched a Vera episode. This cardboard castle has sat on the table in front of the TV for years of playing with by piano student siblings, our own kids, and me. :)

Through the open windows this afternoon we could hear the first crickets chirping.
