A first flush of love in the mist...

I thought I might play a bit safer today, after yesterday's celebratory ramble in the undergrowth... This is the first flower that has braved the cooler days on May in our Nigella swathes, handheld and on manual focus.

I am really liking the way this new lens operates with the mirrorless camera. It has a push/pull focus control rather than a side switch, which allows you to wander over an object finding where the depth of field settles on the magnified image in the electronic viewfinder.

And if a bee or some-such wanders past, a simple click push and you've tracking focus again. Such as the fellow in the extra, on the tiny flowers of the nearby holly tree. This is a large crop straight out of the camera.
