Thoughts From China

The first weekend in May is a public holiday.

The Chinese Government has started the process of relaxing their "lockdown" measures to fight the Coronavirus.

Our Chinese "son" wrote to us from Shanghai and today’s Blipfoto is one of the pictures he sent us.

Stein writes,

"We had a lucky day as the places we went to didn't get many visitors, although we saw loads of private cars were on the way.

Then we spent the whole morning walking around the ancient southern Chinese style streets, got some local food there as well.

For all the places we went to, we have several staff sitting at the entry of each attraction, helping to take every visitor's temperature and asking them to scan QR code to record all the places they've been to.

Although wearing masks is a must, I can still see some people took off their after they went past the entry, which was not smart."

It is surprising how many people in many countries do not "get it" that this pandemic is easily spread by those who apparently immune to it.

Certain politicians even exploit this silliness for their own ends.

Interesting to note that four out of five people in the U.K. are against easing of lockdown procedures just now. This is hardly surprising as the information being issued in Westminster lacks credibility.

"Forgive them, Father. For they know not what they do."
