Poppies

Spent an hour this morning trying to find some compost for my elderly mother.  After doing circuits of the town she lives in, I finally found some in Home Bargains.  I took her some cash as well as she cannot get her head around internet banking and has run out.  Makes a change me giving her money!!!

Mother had been clearing out her ‘art’ room, so I got given loads of sketchbooks full of ‘life drawings’ that she was too embarrassed to put in her wheelie bin!  Ha ha ha.  They are going in our skip instead.  

Blip is of one of her new style silk paintings.  She builds up layers using off cuts of silk she has already used in other projects and then adds details with gutta.  I really liked this one.
