Church online this morning followed by an interview with two of our members who work in hospitals, one as a speech therapist usually working with neck and head cancer patients, and the other a consultant in neo natal medicine. Both roles have changed during this Coronavirus crisis as priorities within patients and hospitals change, each bringing new and challenging situations. All patients coming off ventilators need therapy to enable swallowing to happen for eating and drinking. Neck and head cancer patients are not getting their therapies. Operating theatres have been closed even for emergency baby surgery and babies have died. Difficult and challenging interviews to listen to but do good to be informed. More to remember each day in our prayers.

We went for a walk in the early afternoon, taking a new route and noticing things in an area we thought was familiar. Cooler today and not so much sunshine. I definitely had the best day of the weekend yesterday.
