The Old and the New

Weird weather today, heavy rain, sunshine, wind, heavy rain...the same pattern repeating all day. We were lucky to get a walk in between the downpours. I took a photo of an old mailbox beside a driveway and another of the community mailboxes that have replaced them and combined them. Gone are the days of individual mailboxes on the rural roads, although some are still standing on the old posts. It must have been quite something for the person who used to deliver the mail to have to stop at every driveway because some homes are quite spread out. 
We watched Stronger Together last night, a program that G had recorded a few days ago. It featured Canadian celebrities thanking all those who are putting their lives on the line to keep the rest of us safe: some musicians singing and other celebrities with messages. It was also raising money for food banks across the country. It was very moving. Here are links to two songs from the program:
