Pond flower

We decided to go for our walk this morning on Aylesbeare Common, it was a fairly dull start to the day and the views were not that clear. I had decided to check out the ponds that had been recently created but there wasn't much wild life in evidence.  There was however this rather attractive flower growing in a clump in the middle of the water, see extra.  This one was at the edge of the ground.  The highlight of our walk was hearing our first cuckoo this year and bumping into two friends who had just finished their early morning walk.

This afternoon I planted some cabbages and covered the strawberries with netting, the allotment has never had so much attention.  This evening the camera club has been invited to join another clubs zoom meeting with a guest speaker so I will be doing that soon, just got to get the tea ready now.
