Dame Celia Johnson

Day 47 - no bike ride today as had a Zoom meeting with U3A cycling group instead! But visited Celia Johnson’s (1908-1982) plaque on Richmond Hill a while ago. The actress was best known for her role in ‘Brief Encounter’. She was born in this house, went to RADA and was well known on the London stage, often in Noel Coward plays, before she starred in films. She was married to the writer Peter Fleming, brother of the creator of James Bond.

- Google Duo with son and family as grandsons first birthday
- spent time at the allotment, earthed up potatoes and weeded various areas. Good to see broccoli and some flower seeds have germinated.
