Saturday sun-down
The sun was going down at just after 8pm when I took this, bringing out the colour in the red bricks of the cathedral - it's not often it appears this colour.
The extra photo was taken about ten minutes before, and I just love the juicy deep red of these leaves, against the lush new foliage on the old oak tree. One thing that was strange was the lack of cars parked along this road. Normally, there are cars filling all the parking bays at all times of the day - so where are the cars now? They are restricted bays allowing a maximum of four hours parking, so it's not as if people can park there then go to work for the day. It would appear that most of the cars are now parked on their respective driveways along the road - so I can only suppose that the owners normally park in the bays to prevent other (non-resident) short stay parking?
Thought for the day:
