Two Fat Pigeons

I’ve grown quite fond of pigeons, waddlers though they are, so I was quite pleased to see these two taking their ease on the bird bath, basking in the sun. 

Although it reminded me of a master at my prep school (Penryn School, Worcestershire) who used to shoot them for the pot. I have a feeling that he used a .22 rifle rather than a shotgun, making the result less predictable. 

I wasn’t impressed with the softness of this lens at full telephoto, though.
