Yesterday evening (19.00) Queen Beatrix announced her abdication on national television.
Queen Beatrix has reigned for 33 years, and will abdicate her throne in favor of her eldest son, Prince Willem-Alexander.
I'm proud she was our Queen and wish her all the best for the future.
