Slowly Returning

Now that those in Queensland may shop for 'non-essentials' I took a trip into Brisbane city centre for the first time in weeks. Only about 30% of businesses were open but it was good to have a change of scene. The Australian PM is keen to get Australia's economy going again as jobless figures escalate and businesses wobble.

As you see, I'm still stranded here. Today was the day I should have flown back to England. Goodness knows when airlines will fly again. I applied for a different visa today to (hopefully) get permission to stay on a few more weeks in the hopes that someone will fly us Brits out. Unfortunately the UK Government cash injection to 'get Brits home' does not run to helping those stuck in Australia.
