Salt Dough

This half term we're looking at traditional nursery rhymes. Apparently studies have shown that if a pre-school child is taught and can recite 8 rhymes, by year 3, they are above average at reading and writing.

This week the nursery children have been involved in various activities linked to the rhyme - 'Pat-a-cake, Pat-a-cake, Bakers Man'.

Today the children have made salt dough biscuits with their initials on them.
They particularly enjoyed the measuring and mixing .
We plan to paint them tomorrow.
