Rannerdale Bluebells

Out for the weekly shop to Cockermouth Aldi today, we dropped into Rannerdale in passing to see the bluebells. The National Trust guy there said that about 25% of the bluebells had died last year from people walking on them. Mind you, he noticed my camera and particularly blamed photographers. I assured him that neither me nor any of my guests ever stepped off the main paths onto the blooms.
