Evening Route
It's been cold, wet and very windy today.
Throughout the day I faffed about trying to decide how to be creative and/or how to get through the seemingly endless list of jobs that need doing around the house.
As a result I have achieved very little.
Jorgie and I took a different route for our evening walk, along another green lane.
The hedges couldn't be more packed with wild flowers and every Spring, I am always reminded of Albrecht Durer's 'Great Piece of Turf' . A wonderful watercolour celebrating Mother Nature's chaotic beauty.
This is the view looking back to my village.
Later, at dusk, I was compelled to capture the almost full moon again.
I could hear a cuckoo calling from some distance away. It's not the first we've heard this year but it's always a thrill to hear the iconic sound of early summer.
