Pear blossom

I bought this tree about 20 years ago.We have never seen any fruit but this year it has 5 bits of blossom. AmI right to be hopeful?
Today I managed to trip over slabs in the garden , scrape both knees, both hands , my face and scratched my glasses.. My hand is quite swollen and bruised but everything seems to work although painful.
So much for trying to exercise! It is 300 steps round the property I did not even manage twice!
