A Day At A Time.

Day 53: Peaceful Evening

Another pretty hot day, but with a little more cloud about.

The last rays of the evening sun made the trees over the valley glint rather nicely and the forecast is good for tomorrow, if a little cooler than of late .

I rather enjoyed my haircut this morning. It brought some semblance of normality to a mixed up world. However Prime Minister Sánchez only just managed to get his proposal for another two week extension through the vote.

If he had failed, the State of Alarm would end abruptly. Everything could and probably would go back to how it was before the lockdown began.

No more social distancing, all shops and businesses, bars and restaurants open and every restriction suddenly lifted.

And I expect a second, even more deadly, wave of covid-19 would sweep the country and everything we have put up with for nearly eight weeks would be for absolutely nothing.

It doesn't bear thinking about.
