Cherry Pickers
I don't know why these are called cherry pickers since cherry trees aren't quite so tall, but anyway, I've wanted to get a picture of this yard every time I drive past it. I love the way these vehicles have been parked. It's as if they have raised themselves to a great height in order to see what's going on around them! :)
So today, I went to the hypermarket which is in walking distance, but I did it via the recycling centre, so took the car! It was nice and quiet in there so I was home within the hour.
Today I experienced a WebEx meeting. I can see why Zoom is so much more popular; it's easier to use for starters. However, the lack of time restriction was super. Not long after that, we had our OaSis meeting. Not sure what happened today, but only two other ladies signed in. No worries, we still had a good time catching up and for the first time today, we had a fifteen-minute study - watching a video clip. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to chat about it in-depth after we'd viewed it.
G was all set to make lasagna for dinner, but she put it on hold for a drive out instead. It was coming up to 6 pm, and the idea was to watch the sunset. However, on the way, she happened to check her phone and there was a message from our web developer whom we haven't heard from in ages, so sunset abandoned, we headed to the Costa cafe he was in to have a quick meet-up.
It's all scaled down in there. Two levels and of the cafe with only 35% capacity allowed. You can't enter unless you're wearing a facemask and gloves. (I'm so glad we took gloves with us.) We both had our temperature checked. Fortunately, G didn't get asked her age!! We placed our order and went upstairs. Patrick was the only person there. All the shades on the windows were down and no lights were switched on. It was good to see him after ages. Chatting to a friend through a facemask is so weird though.
Back home and the menu got changed slightly. Lasagna tomorrow; pasta tonight.
PS. G took this picture on her side of the car.
