Peony #5

Peonies lose their colour as they age, apparently the pigment is the flower's way of attracting pollinators and as the flower ages, the cut bloom no longer has the energy to spend on producing pigment which means the colour will start to fade
Amazingly, just three days ago the flower above looked like this!
