what's happening outside
what's happening is a flurry of activity that Chloe and Asia love to watch!

Our carpenter Billy has been working hard on our beautification project. I told him today how much I appreciated his fine work and he told me that was really nice to hear. The pergola he and Ted built is done, very beautifully I might add. There are six grapevines planted next to the posts now; you may be able to see some in pots at this point when viewing larger. It will take a couple of years for fruit to come but we will get the vines & leaves in the meantime.
Billy has also replaced the porch stairs beautifully with pressure treated wood and Trex stair treads. They are deeper and easier to step down on. You can see Asia sitting in front of them on the right side above. The front of the porch had plastic lattice and it has been replaced with cypress boards & spacers. The screen for the hot tub will look the same. Handrails going in with a rope railing and the cypress planting box behind Asia will hold blueberry bushes which should be planted tomorrow!
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, gifted ability, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace from that day. We cannot change our past, we cannot change the fact that people will act in certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing that we can do is play on the one string that we have and this string is, Attitude. I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it. And so it is with you....We are in charge of our Attitudes."
