The Original and World Famous

We spent our last day in Kaikoura exploring this wonderful coastline. It was another glorious day, a little too hot for going far.

I did have some beautiful coastline shots, with deep blue sea and sky and shimmering water and white rocks. I did have some excellent pictures of Red-Billed Gulls. And of course I did have some more lovely pictures of seals. But in the end I give you:

The Original World Famous Kaikoura Seafood BBQ.

From a tiny takeway cart, with a few tables scattered by the road, this place serves wonderful food. All kinds of seafood, grilled as you wait, and served with salad and rice or bread. You are given a number on a pebble and served, but you have to clear your own table. Typical laid back Kiwi we thought and the best lunch ever.
