SWALLOWS NEST

On the 21 January I posted a Welcome Swallow in flight - it was one of the parents of these little blokes. I climbed under the inlet to the Causeway & managed to stay upright inthe water whilst taking this. I had to use my G10 to get close as the big lens was that - too big ! There were 4 little blokes in the nest and they were quite happy with my visit - mum and dad wern't quite as welcoming but they soon settled and continued with their enegetic feeding regime. I had hoped I might be able to capture mum or day at nest but couldnt get into a suitable position.
It's very intersting to look at the making of the nest with quantities of mud as the basis for the foundations. Nature's wonderful !! Compared with the plastic pipe - probably sewerage or copiuos quantity of wires or the like ?
